Our Services
What we do

Mobile Servicing

Last winter we trialled a mobile servicing service and travelled to Mokau to service a number of boats there. This was very successful and we are currently finishing up our new mobile unit to make this more efficient for all involved.

We will then be able to carry out service days in the more remote part of the ‘Naki’ like Mokau and Cape Egmont for those who prefer not to bring their boats into town. Please contact us for more information on this service or to book your boat into one of our trips.

Workshop & Engineering Bay

Here at West Coast Marine we have fully qualified mechanics working in our purpose built workshop. We have up to date tooling and diagnostic software to service and repair all makes of motors.

We also have a well-equipped engineering bay with welders for all materials. We can rebuild trailers or build new trailers for boats and jetskis.

Dyno

Recently we imported an International Marine Dynamometer out of America. This is a machine that emulates lake or sea testing without having to go to the lake or sea which isn’t always feasible.

It gives us an advantage over other marine dealers as we can load and run engines in all different situations under a controlled and safe environment in-house.

This makes diagnosing problems quicker and therefore more cost effective for our customers. We are the first marine dealer in Taranaki to have this diagnostic tool and the first in NZ to have this model.

Boat Supplier

We are the Taranaki suppliers for top aluminium boats. To compliment the Mclay hulls we are dealers for Suzuki 2 and 4 stroke marine outboards and we are now the new authorised sales and service centre Taranaki wide for Mercury Marine outboards, inboards and parts and accessories – all things Mercury!

Come in and see the friendly team at West Coast Marine.

Accessories & Electronics

We have a full retail space of boat chandlery including trailer componentry, safety equipment, oils and electrical parts. Also an extensive range of ‘toys’ like wakeboards and inflatable tubes.

We also carry and can advise on must-have electronics, units for fish-finding and navigation, with brands like Furuno, GME and Raymarine.
